1st and 2nd Eighth Note of the Triplet – 5034 – E

Description

Working with a ternary concept (Triplets). Your left hand plays the Clave in the Wood Block, the right hand will play the Triplets, to reach the independence of your hands (it is important that you sing the subdivisions like Horacio does). This video consists of two exercises of 2 strokes, with the 1st and 2nd quarter notes of the triplet and with the 2nd and 3rd located in the 1st quarter note of the bar.

Commentary:

So, now we are going to do the same, but we tune 2 notes, then 3 notes, then 4 notes, 5, 6, 8, until we get to twelve. Here we go with 2 notes, the first and the second examples. 1, 2, 3, 4… Starting on the second note. 1, 2, 3, 4… This exercise is part of the group “Triplets with 1 Stroke Exercises” from 05029 to 05036. Remember: we play the Rumba Clave with the left hand and the triplets with the right hand. We are playing all these exercises with the right hand but don’t forget to play with both hands, so practice this exercise changing hands.
