Description

Horacio shows you how to apply the “Guaguancó” pattern. Here you have a demonstration of how he applies all his independence technique, with “Cáscara” in Right hand in Wood Block, Clave in left foot (Foot Cowbell), “Tumbao” in Bass Drum with Right foot and Left Hand orchestrates in the rest of the Drum Kit.

Commentary:

Guaguancó is a rhythm that comes from the family of the Rumba and it’s usually played with three conga drums, a stick player that plays the Cáscara rhythm also, Clave player and singers and that, so, it’s really here where we can feel that the triplet feeling and the binary feeling are totally combined. It goes like this: 1, 2, 3..
