
Up to now, we have worked with two reference points: first, the metronome speed, and second, the figure chosen among the progressions, with all its combinations. In this section, we shall deal with a third reference or calculation point: the so-called displacement, which as its very name indicates displaces us through the measure. Just as I have commented on other exercises, being able to use this kind of figure helps you to gain a greater control over rhythmical language in general: this change can open up other possibilities that are much more natural than we believe. In this exercise we are dealing with groups of 3 over 5.
