Commentary:

In this series of exercises you will notice the number of patterns that you may be playing that are nothing more than the result of combining all eighth notes. Work on the different combinations to avoid falling into the bad habit of always playing patterns the same way. This will enrich your rhythmic sense and expand your vocabulary so that you can infuse your own rhythmic tastes into any piece by whatever group you are playing with.
